“I have a black Magic Chef compact freezer/fridge. I set the dial on 4 and it ran well for awhile. Then the back wall of the fridge got ice on it instead of moisture. I tried the dial on 3, tried it on 2. What number do I set it at so there's no ice?”

The unit will get condensation on the back wall. When the compressor is running, that condensation will freeze and turn into ice. Once the compressor cycles off, the ice will melt and drain.
