A:AnswerGo online to their website. There is a place you can enter the number to confirm whether or not the number is portable. If it is, then follow the directions. DO NOT cancel your current provider until the number is ported over or you may lose it! Porting can take weeks. I had a Verizon phone and internet bundle. When I ported my number over, I got a message asking if I really wanted to do so, as I could also lose internet as a result. That was ok because I had already put in place a new provider. It took Verizon about a week to port over. Then I had to call to confirm cancellation of all services with them.
