It’s not a fluid head, but for the price it’s fine. I’ve used a canon 7D on it and my iPhone. The size and weight of 7D works better on it. IPhone pivot point and lightness makes it more susceptible to vibration etc. Overall I would say if you are panning most of the time while shooting, spend more to get a fluid head that also has a quick leveling mechanism and built in level bubble.
