Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You will need a processor to hook up all your other equipment. It can be a prepro (preamp) or an AV receiver. If you want to match this MM7055 with another Marantz, please keep in mind that you'll need at least a SR5xxx receiver, with pre outs, so you will be able to connect your receiver to this amplifier. The latest model should be SR5014. However, since you've already considered this separate amplifier, maybe you also want to consider a prepro. Marantz do make them. I purchased this unit a few weeks ago. Initially it was hooked up to my older SR5013. The setup sounded OK, but not much different from my original setup with the SR5013 (AV receiver) alone. Today I received the AV7705, a prepro without speaker outputs. The difference is quite noticeable. Clarity is the word. Hope you find what you are looking for.
