• A:Answer Hello. Martin Logan's Motion 40i floor-standing speaker is quite sensitive - unless you have a large room, or you listen at high volume levels, the MM7055 will be a good match for the 40i speakers from Martin Logan.

• A:Answer Hello and thank you for your question. This will depend on the AV receiver. Example, the Marantz PM8006 will allow Bi amp as it will output power from the speaker A terminal while outputting a signal via RCA pre out the external amp. Connect the high pass from to the PM8006 and low pass to the external amp.

Q: QuestionYour specs seem to suggest that this amp puts out 140 watts per channel into 8 ohms at full bandwidth with all channels driven. Marantz website says 140 watts per channel with (2) channels driven with 70% guarantee. Witch is correct?

• A:Answer Hello, no the Marantz MM7055 is a power amplifier. This will require a separate preamp. Consider the Marantz AV7706 pre amp. The AV7706 does have Bluetooth.

Q: Questionwhat is the input sensitivity needed?? I'm running a Adcom GFA -555 on my pre-outs for my front 2 from a Marantz SR6013 . And the sensitivity is 1.4 mV input for the 555. The SR6013 is 1.4V.

Q: QuestionCan I biwire this amp to double the power for KEF R11?

• A:Answer Hi 721, Bi-wiring is possible with the MM7055, but it doesn't double the power. Bi-wiring doesn't usually result in much of a difference as it only involves two pairs of speaker wire from a single terminal pair at the amplifier end. At the other end it has one pair connect to the upper port (tweeter) on the speaker's terminals, and the other to the lower (mid/bass) terminal port. Bi-amping is also possible. This means you will have two of the MM7055's output terminal pairs per speaker. This would make more of a difference as you effectively have one power amplifier channel per drive unit with each speaker. You will need to make sure your pre-amp allows for this many feeds (four) for the left and right speakers. You won't need any more power than is on offer though - your KEF R11s have a sensitivity rating of 90 dB. In a medium-sized room they need only a few watts to go very loud.
