Hello. If you choose to exit the Setup Assistant during the unit's first out-of-box power up (BACK button on the remote) you should be able to enter Bluetooth pairing mode if you have installed the supplied Bluetooth/WiFi Antennas on the unit. When you press and hold the Bluetooth button on the CINEMA 60 remote there should be a "Pairing" message displayed on the CINEMA 60 front panel. Then when you enter Bluetooth pairing mode on your mobile device, the CINEMA 60 should appear and allow you to pair to it. The app should not be a requirement if you are only looking to use Bluetooth, and use the music apps (such as Spotify) on your mobile device and Bluetooth stream it to the CINEMA 60.
