“Is multi-zone playback automatically slaved to the selected input? I have a pioneer reciever and each time I change the source input I have to reselect multizone to have it play the new source. This is a major pain for automation.”

Hello. One of the main benefits of Zone 2 is the fact it is independent of the Main Zone, allowing for a different choice of source in a different zone. This does, of course, mean that any time you change the source in the Main Zone, you will need to make the same change in Zone 2 if you wish for them to both play the same source. The way around this is to assign the speaker port you are using so it receives the Main Zone feed. If you are using the Pre-out with external amplification, all you have to do is use the Main Zone pre-outs for that room feed.
