Hello, the Cinema 70s does provide HDMI Upscaling. The receiver can upconvert 1080p and 4K HDMI signals to 8K. Lower-supported video signals will be passed through, allowing the Television's processor to provide the upscaling. The Built-in scaler may be set to Auto or Off. This is the same for all of our current AV Receivers. I want to point out that the Cinema 40 receiver also provides Analog to HDMI Video Conversion.
