A:AnswerI had a front loader, different brand before this, left door ajar for 12 years after each wash. I never had a mildew issue. This machine has an Affresh cycle. I still leave door ajar and no issues as of yet.
A:AnswerThe manual on this machine does indicate a pump filter. The access is miserable and requires removal of rear panel or removal of front panel. Both are tough and some recommend as often as monthly.
