“Are the parts needed for the steam function in the extra installation kits it has you add to cart? Or do I need to order something else before installers come? Do you have the option to not use or set up steam function?”

The dryer works just fine without the steam function, however the steam function helps reduce wrinkles if selected. If you want the installers to install the cold water splitter kit so you can use the steam function you need to have it there for the installers to install. Or you could install it yourself later. But if you are paying for installation, you might as well have them do it.
