I honestly do not have first hand experience with MEE to Sony, but I would be hard pressed to believe it would not work. I am not sure what your intention is (TV to speaker, or connecting something else?) but Best Buy has a great return policy if it does not work out for you, so always worth trying.

Not only did it work for my 6 year old Sony HDTV to my Blu-Tooth Bose Headphones it also works with my Bose SoundBar system. I have Optical from my TV to MEE input and an MEE output Optical connection to my Bose SoundBar and I get sound from both at the same time. No addition set-up required – plug and play.
