This transmitter does not generated any static or clicking noise. If you hear static or clicking noise from your headset, it could indicate an issue with the headset itself, which would be a question for Bose. This particular transmitter also comes with a set of headphones, so you won't need to use your QC45 at all if you just use the included headphones (which should have neither static noise nor clicking).
