The headset works independent to of the TV’s volume control. Turning down / off the volume of the TV’s regular speakers does not effect the headset volume while preventing the TV’s regular speakers from disturbing others even if they are in the same room. The headset can be turn up/down to the desired listening level by using the volume control toggle on the headset itself. It works great!!! Happy listening.

Please try again later.the volume on the TV is independent of the volume on the headphones. you can have the volume on the headphones as high as you want, and turn the volume on the tv down to a very low level where I can actually get some sleep at night while my husband watches TV!
