Yes. Worked for me, but I had to purchase an HDMI to HDMI+Audio Converter first. Then I hooked this up to it. I haven't tested the distance yet, but my idea is to have my 2 large wireless Sony speakers connected while watching games and movies in our backyard, so I don't have wires running all over the place.
