• Yes it can you can connect it to any newer tv. The sound bar can still play in the background as it plays through the headphones at the same time.

• The only hook up that worked on my system is the optical cable. It works ok on regular TV channels but not when watching Netflix for some reason. If two are watching, there is an echo effect between the TV and headset. I might look for another alternative. WK
