“Does this speed up your internet connection? I have a 400 gpm plan with Spectrum but my speeds max out at 115. Will this improve that or should I go with a better router? I live in a 2,000 sq/ft apt. Running 2 macs, sonos, iPhone, iPad, 2 smart TVs, hue”

I am not an computer engineer. In layman’s terms, eero will not make the hose bigger so you get more water, it will extend the reach of the hose so you can water more areas.

Please try again later.It won't speed up your internet connection, but remember that wifi is usually a bottle-neck in your system in that wifi speeds may be slower than directly connecting to your modem. That being said, I've seen a lot less speed degredation with Eero than with my old wifi router and access point setup. If you configure your system (correct # of components and placement), you'll likely see better speeds. You may also want to check the top speed and # of channels that your modem supports. That can also be a bottleneck if it is an older modem and doesn't take full advantage of your internet providers capabilities.
