- Answer Pretty sure ford stopped making the Sporttrac in the 2000 or 2010's. But make they will bring them back in the 3000's haha. Yes it should work. Especially if you order your radio from BestBuy. It fit my 07 explorer.

- Answer Since 2001 is before 2003, it seems it would NOT be compatible.....Ford changed their factory harness design for the 2003 and up model years.....this fits 2003 and up, as the package indicates.
