A:AnswerNo. My RB broke on my Elite 2 after 2 months. Here is their respinse on twitter to me. "Hey there, I’m one of the ambassadors for Xbox as well. Now all I’ve heard (obviously unofficially) is that the issues with elite 2 controllers were part of the initial batch only. I’ve heard that newest batch has been fixed but I can’t confirm this unfortunately"
A:AnswerYes, they do come with a warranty, but the $35 2 year protection/replacement plan from Best Buy is a much better value. The warranty doesn't last very long, and every controller I've ever used wears out really fast. The protection plan covers nearly everything except lost devices. And it's generally a more pleasant experience getting one replaced than redeeming the warranty, because you can get it replaced immediately and won't have to deal with a long drawn out phone call.
A:AnswerThe Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 includes a premium internal battery with up to 40 hours of rechargeable battery life. It does not use disposable batteries.
A:AnswerBuy it from Best Buy, get 2 year protection plan, broken or not, bring back before the 2 years is up and get another one. Just buy the plan again when you get the replacement.
A:AnswerMy elite 2 broke after 2 months of use with bumper problems. it has been a absolute nightmare trying to get it replaced. I have an extended warranty through Best Buy and Microsoft they are both giving me a hard time but admitted the bumper was broke. I spoke to a Microsoft ambassador over Twitter and they said they knew the bumpers were still not fixed and they don't know if they are ever going to be fixed. This was also a well known problem in the elite 1's. This is my 6th elite controller due to past broken controllers.
A:AnswerThere is just the 90 day Limited Warranty from Microsoft. I'd recommend an extended warranty on any gaming console... I have a "Red" Microsoft Xbox One Controller and with less than 40 hours of gameplay, the right joystick began to "drift" and the crosshairs on Modern Warfare are moving on their own to the left at times...
