First of all, there isn't a choice; what you see is what you get. I'd consider it "professional user". It adds multimedia functionality, as well as internet browsing tools such as forward, back, and a zoom function. I work in an IT help desk and love it. I've owned 2 of these exact keyboards over roughly 10 years. Great keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's really a data entry/office drone/typist configuration. You probably could reconfigure it for scientific purposes, but only to a limited extent. If you really need something specific for science/engineering, you'd be better off with a keyboard built towards/more adaptable towards that.
