• This version of Office 2019 Home & Student is meant to be used locally. It is a classic Office experience where you use the apps on you PC or MAC. If you require an online version of Office then you want office 365.

• Yes, you can. Any Office 2019 bundle or, Office 365 bundle, will work offline. If you purchase Office 365, you will initially need internet access to install the software. Both versions will need to be connected to the internet in order to save your files to OneDrive.
