It saves them to your computer. Since this version doesn't include OneDrive, you actually *can't* upload them to the cloud without using a separate program that has cloud services. I actually think this is the best feature of the whole thing - you never have to worry that you'll accidentally upload them to the cloud or that they might be backed up there in error because of all that nagging to use OneDrive that you get on the 365 version. (I'm not interested in OneDrive, ok Microsoft? I don't need its features! Please stop its "reminding" me to use it and placing all the OneDrive buttons where the normal save options should go. That's one reason I want the static version, not 365.)

YES, YOU CAN MOVE THE PROGRAMS TO A NEW COMPUTER, but It stays on your PC until you remove it or deactivate the license. You would want to deactivate the license if, for example, you were going to buy or build a new computer and wanted to use OFFICE on your new computer - BUT NOT ON YOUR OLD ONE - . First, deactivate it on your old computer BEFORE you destroy it, get rid of it, or break it down to use for parts. You may be able to do this online through your Microsoft account, or you could call Microsoft and tell them what you want to do. They will help you. Second, install and activate OFFICE on your new computer. If you have ALREADY deactivated it on your old computer you should have no problems. If you DIDN'T deactivate it, you may have problems getting it to install on your new computer. Then you would have to call Microsoft and explain the situation to them and convince them that you are not trying to install it on more than one computer at a time (don't ask me how I know this :) ). Every time I have talked to Microsoft over the years they have always been friendly and willing to help. I have transferred 1 license versions of many MS Office programs to new PC's that I either built or bought several times in the past with no problems - AFTER I learned my lesson and deactivated the license FIRST, BEFORE trying to install it on the new computer. You would just download it like you did before, then enter the activation code (key number). Since you have just DEactivated the license number, it will once again be available to use again. Microsoft says this is for use on only 1 computer, but what it really means is that it can only be installed on 1 computer AT A TIME. That's why you need to deactivate it before you try to install it on the new computer.
