To install Office 2019, you'll need an internet connection. Unless you use the Office offline installer. After installation, you're free to use your Office software without an internet connection. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Microsoft office 365 makes you sign up for a 70$ a year subscription to use the same software you already bought in the first place. I bought 2019 to avoid such a weird fee. I think it has something to do with "one cloud" which you can basically access your files anywhere. I prefer a good old fashioned jump drive and protection of my privacy.
