Software that you had to pay for yearly which was for keeping your software up to date with all upgrades etc. the other was a one time purchase without upgrades that eventually would become obsolete and have to be repurchased for all upgrades Dont know which one you purchased

The Tech warned me beforehand that if I selected that particular version and an update came out, I would need to purchase a new edition. I opted for a more expensive one that came with a 3 year subscription. Hope that helps somewhat.

I had use of the software for one month when I received notification that I needed to renew. At the time I couldn't deal with a disruption, so I purchased again. My bad for sure for not chasing it down, but I didn't have the time to get into a back-and-forth and be without.
