“I currently have Office for Mac 2008 on my MacBook Pro computer. If I purchase MS Office for Mac 2019 (Home and Student) will it override the 2008 version? Will my current files in Word/Excel/Powerpoint be absorbed into the 2019 version?”

Yes, your current files will be upgraded to the Office 2019 format.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It won’t override.. only thing it might do is maybe change the extension from a .doc to a .docx. But I have a Mac as well and just upgraded and had no issue.
