It depends on the controller you have if you want to use it wirelessly. But you can charge it via computer and it will work plugged into the computer. Based on wirelessly is the controller you have. If you have the regular xbox controller, not the s or x, then you need a special drive to allow access. Otherwise it will connect via bluetooth.
