• It is attached like a normal laptop. You can alter it into different positions but it will still be attached.

• It does not detach like a Surface Book or a 2 in 1. Imagine a Surface Pro on top of the base of a surface book and you have this laptop. The screen does not detach but it can lay flat so it is like tablet mode.

• Attached like a normal laptop, but it does slide down over the keyboard and lock in place

• It doesn't detach but it pivots differently. It's not flimsy and it swings from the center. Hard to expaling but it gives you some really different setting versus the ones that just swing at the hinge.
