QuestionWould a wacom pen work on this surface book?

- Answer Not all. Only the new Bamboo Ink which is dual use would. MS uses a version of N-Trig tech not Wacom. That one Wacom product supports both technologies and says so on the box. That said, just buy the MS pen. It is a bit more expensive but the Surface Pen and Surface were made for each other.

- Answer Have only used it on my surface but my research is that whilst most pens work to some degree on most tablets or 2 in ones only the specific pen for your make/brand unlock all the feature from that manufacturer. So many features may not work like the manufacturer designed.

- Answer Yes, it does. Microsoft actually put in a stronger magnet than the pen that came with the Surface Pro 4 to reduce the likelihood of it falling off or getting lost.

- Answer No. Having a touch screen doesn't imply it works with any pen. The device needs a screen that specifically supports active pens of any sort. Any touch screen will work with those rubber tipped stylus you use on cell phones, but to support a pen, Wacom or N-trig, or even some Synaptics, they most have special screens designed for that. Those pen-enabled screens invariably support touch as well, but it isn't a given that a touch screen supports any pen.

- Answer This pen will work with the sepcter. I am using the surface pen with my hp envy laptop and it works w/o any issue. The hp active pen is originally sourced from Microsoft its just the older version of the surface pen.

QuestionMy surface pen is working except it won't write. It turns on and all the buttons work and so does the eraser except for the pen itself. I've changed the nibs but it's not that. Can I exchange it for a new one?
