• I have an external CD/DVD ROM with a USB plug. I am able to use it with the SP3 - that is how I installed my OE software. Worst case, use a laptop or desktop to copy the CD to a flash drive and then plug the flash drive into the USB port and install that way. I did that with one of my engineering applications and it worked just fine.

• You can add any USB device. Best way to do a CD is to get a USB hub and then a USB CD burner.

• It has a USB port so you can get an external drive from most online retailers for $30-40.
