• A:Answer Yes, Signature Pro Type Covers are backwards and forwards compatible. The current Signature Pro Type Cover is compatible with Surface Pro 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and older Signature Pro Type Covers are compatible with Surface Pro 7.

• A:Answer My Surface Pro is an original but the latest keyboard fits and works with it. Originally, I was told they would not be compatible and I would have to special order a like keyboard. Not true when I spoke to someone else. And not true in its use. The pen should as well as it does not seem to have any special software and never “updates”.
