“I'm trying to see if this pen is going to work for what I need, I need to be able to use this exactly like pen and paper, meaning my hand is going to rest on my surface pro 7 while I write across the page, is it going to only sense the pen or my hand?”

Yes, your Surface is designed to ignore your hand and other inputs while you write.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use it that way and it only senses the pen. I am right handed and the rest of my hand and wrist rest on the surface screen. It works great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ha! Well it’s an electronic device…. If you need it to act like paper and pen , I suggest actually using paper and a pen. Or get a hand glove that is for palm rejection that you wear while writing. Surface pro isn’t intended to be used like a notepad
