• NO'T the type cover the camera is located in the front and back of you surface pro 3

• The Surface Pro 3 has cameras on the front and back. The type cover does not, nor is it needed. The back facing camera is the best one and you'll need to see your screen to take a picture.

• The Type Cover, which is where this question is, does not have a camera. The Surface Pro 3 itself has one, both front and back.

• The actual SP3 has both a forward facing and backward facing camera. There is no camera on the type-cover though.

• The surface Pro 3 tablet has both a forward facing and backward facing camera. The keyboard does not have a camera.

• It has a front and back camera. Limited features but understand there are additional apps that can be downloaded to add functionality.
