If you are OK with paying again for Windows, you should be able to do a clean install. The retail version (this product) also allows you to uninstall and reinstall on another computer (the versions that come with new computers are locked to that computer). I don't know if you "need" a Microsoft Account for any reason, but there are tutorials online about how to make a "local" account (username/passord only). Maybe that will fix your issue. Good luck!
