Yes. Go to your settings and select the remotes and devices. It takes you to Bluetooth. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center for a couple seconds, then hold the small button in the front of the controller by the left trigger and bumper. It’ll show up on your Apple TV. Enjoy!

Yes, as of late 2019 this is a new function. Make sure you get the controller with Bluetooth.
