It absolutely does. They don’t make any of them like they used to. It designed to keep you spending more money to play. Just like anything else.

Please try again later.I own this and the Project Scorpio Edition controller and had the PSE controller since launch Nov 2017 and use is everyday and have had no problems with that one. As for the regular Xbox controller I just bought that a few days and feels the exact same as the PSE controller so I would say yes, the thumb sticks should not wear out as easy.
