“I purchased a physical get pass card (online). It was picked up and I tried to enter the 25 character code on Xbox.com but it doesn't work. Does it need to be activated before I can use it?”

I would check with BestBuy or Microsoft support. The card should not need to be activated, once you enter the option to redeem it should be applied directly to your account.

Yes it does but if it was purchased online, they should have already activated it.

It must be activated at the store where you purchased it from. Otherwise it will not work.
