• Thanks for asking! The Carbon Black controller has a hard plastic shell.

• Soft touch feel, not hard plastic. It's very cool

• Honestly when you first take it out the box that has a silicone feel to it but after a while just becomes hard plastic and it doesn't intend to the hands of someone who is arthritic
