I have a charger pack from the older xbox one controllers and the batteries themselves work in the new controller, but the plug to charge it is differant. I use old controllers to charge the batteries for the new controller.

It's possible that your current rechargeable batteries may work with this controller, however it is slightly smaller than the Xbox One controller and some third-party products may not fit. If you have a Xbox One Play & Charge Kit, the rechargeable battery itself will work with this controller, but you will need to purchase a USB-C to USB-A cable.
