it is compatible, its probably stating that because it wants to make sure ur buying the "newest" version for the "newest" console.

It works on anything Bluetooth and even the original fat Xbox one. These have a bad problem with constant disconnects or "connect drops". I'm just getting last Gen version instead with the headphone jack.
