Im not exactly sure why this card is needed if i buy the games for the system and have internet access already. What does it provide what does it do and or provide? null

You can use it to buy games or buy stuff within games. For example, in Fortnite you can purchase V-Bucks with it. You can also purchase music, etc.; description is on card.

An xbox live subscription gives you access to the multiplayer part of the video games you purchase as well as multiple online options in a plethora of other apps. For example, if you buy Madden 20 you can play the game and get updates but you can't play online with other people without having the xbox live subscription.
