• To my knowledge you can only change the brightness of the xbox home button only on elite xbox controllers This option isn't available for regular controllers. And you can't dim the xbox power button light on the xbox itself either.

• No, there is sadly not. If you are to purchase an xbox Elite 2 controller, they have an option to dim or turn it off in the settings, but those are about 2-3 times the price. Hope this helps.
