Reception depends on your location, or, the distance you live from the broadcast antenna of the channel you are trying to receive.

Is doesn't have too be on front of a window, the cord is 16 feet long so try moving it somewhere else along the wall and see if the reception improves.

Try and get the antenna higher and see what happens. I live in a town house and tv with the antenna is on the second level and it works perfectly.

We found out that the higher we hung the antenea and using an outside wall, the better it works.
