As long as the antenna is placed by a window, the aluminum siding should not have any positive or negative affect on the signal.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bob- It should as aluminum isn't much of a shielding metal to begin with (unlike say lead or concrete etc). However, it would be best to affix the antenna to a window if possible as I have personally found it to improve reception vs. affixing to a wall. You can always go with the outdoor style antennas but they're not only more expensive but more of a pain in the butt to mount etc.
