You plug the included Powerline Adapter into your power strip at the computer and run an Ethernet cable (not included) from the adapter to your router. The unit uses your home AC wiring to transmit the Ethernet data to and from the Monster. Run another Ethernet cable (also not included) from the Monster to the unit to be connected and your done!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The smaller black box you received is the sending unit. Plug it into the wall near your router. Your router should have multiple (usually 4) ethernet outputs located next to the input where you plugged your modem into the router (Sometimes the input ethernet port is yellow). Select any one of these 4 output ports to connect to the sending unit that you plugged into the wall. In the room where you have the Monster Surge Protector, plug an ethernet cord from the bottom of the surge protector to your device.
