It covered accidental damage for me, so the short answer is yes. I did have to take it to the Geek Squad counter and they looked it over before providing the refund. There was also a small service fee based on the cost of the item at purchase. I also believe they have the limitations listed on the website, but you may have to dig a little.

it is covered. You will have to pay a fee similar to other insurance
