“I just got Comcast cable and internet hooked up today. They have recently upgraded their max MBPS from 150 MBPS to 200 MBPS (being the fastest). Why is it that I could only draw a max speed of 116 MBPS when tested today, while being a direct connection?”

The variables of what you used for the speed test, the computer connected, time of day, city chosen to send test signal and relative distance.

There is a faster modem I was told, but Comcast has never had the best or right MBPS in my area. Ive quit calling and trying to figure it out. But I'm also not directly plugged in either. Good luck. I do get better down and upload speed with this.
