You can type but its tough because you have to slide to each individual letter. It uses bookmarks from your chrome browser as shortcuts to make it easier. I only suggest using it if it is too inconvenient to pull out your phone.

Please try again later.the Moto 260 simply mirrors your Android smartphone, so any searches will be done via your phone's internet connection. but i guess you could argue that you could search the internet. for example, after I initiate the search by saying, "ok google", I can then say something like, "how many people are in the world?", and my watch will show the response as well as give me the option to display the answer on my phone. there is no keyboard on the watch - just a few canned text responses in addition to speech-to-text (which is extremely accurate).

You literally talk to the watch by saying "OK Google" and then speak a request or command. You can say What's the weather like today in San Diego and you should see an answer on the watch. There is no keyboard on the watch but you can see a scrollable list of applications and settings. The Moto 360 website will show you all the commands and features.
