• If u already have a sim card then no u can just put the one u have in there it's unlocked for gsm and CDMA

• Hi Meem, Thanks for asking. Since the device is unlocked and doesn't have any plans with it, you may use your current Cricket SIM card on this phone (should be a Nano SIM card) so it will work. You may also contact your carrier regarding their services with unlocked phones. -Jess
