“What happens once this phone stops getting security updates?”

• So if I buy the phone now I'll only get security updates for a little more than 2 years! Ouch.

You can check this link for the Motorola security information here: https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/software-security-update/g_id/7112. Essential apps can still be updated via the Play Store. In addition, Motorola constantly monitors these apps for user feedback and star ratings to quickly address concerns. Even without security updates, the phone is safe as long as you download from reliable sources such as Google Play. -Mitch
