“Live in a rural area. Does it make and receive calls in this situation? I work for a place that needs to contact me at anytime. Currently have a Samsung 20 ,seldom works with out dropping my call.”

Thanks for your interest. The device does make and receive calls however it depends on your preferred carrier if your area has great signal from their service. -Jess

That is a function more of the carrier rather than the phone, although the phone can play a small part in reception.

I live rural and work rural and have had this phone for 3 months now and have not lost a call. My old phone was a three- year old Moto G+ and I think that I havet better reception with my new one. Hope this helps.
