I bought the phone unlocked, took it over to the metro store and they switched my number over to it with the same SIM card for $16. If you're intentionally moving from Metro you can activate under any network. The phone is unlocked which is what makes it so amazing! You can choose where you want to get your service! two I would recommend bc the service is great: Cricket AT & T I've never had an issue with either of those companies, I just chose Metro bc I quite liked the Amazon Prime benefit.
